Musiah Review: My Kids Learned More in 2 Months Than a Year with an Instructor

Can an AI piano teacher really outperform a traditional private instructor? In this candid review, Becky Hunter from Utah shares how Musiah’s piano lessons app with an AI teacher solved her "practice wars," saved her money, and accelerated her children's progress beyond what she thought possible.

"My kids have learned more in the past 2 months of regular Musiah instruction than they ever learned in their first year + of piano lessons with an instructor."

Before I first enrolled in Musiah, the first hurdle was honestly, I didn't know it existed. Once I found out about it, it was getting all the ducks in row. Purchasing a keyboard, getting the program and keyboard in sync, etc. I worried about learning on a keyboard and computer vs. piano with a pedal and sheet music. How the transition would work.

Now that my children have started lessons with Musiah, I still worry a bit about the difference of learning on a keyboard and computer vs. piano with a pedal and sheet music. But the benefits have far outweigh my concerns. I like to periodically take the computer to the piano so they can feel the difference and experience that as well to eliminate this concern.

Why Kids Love the Progress-Driven Format

Of all the aspects of the program there are to like, I mainly like that my kids like it. If it was boring and mundane to them, it would be a daily challenge to get them working on it. They love the format. They love seeing their progression. Really for kids, it's brilliant. I love that they have an instructor with them every lesson.

Lower Costs and Better Family Relationships, and Daily Guidance

Other benefits of Musiah's beginner piano lessons for kids include;

a. Cost for sure. Although I want my kids to practice every day, some days it doesn't happen. If I was paying a lot for the program I might not participate. But the price is amazing!

b. Relationship with my children. I would often get frustrated with piano. I would send my kids off for a lesson and then they'd come home and really I was doing the teaching. I started to wonder why we were doing lessons. I would get frustrated with them when they weren't getting a piece, concept, etc. But now Musiah practices with them. Now Musiah can help them understand what they are doing wrong in a calm, collective tone :)

c. You get piano lessons everyday not just practice. Instead of an instructor sitting with you and instructing you 30 mins per week, you get an instructor sitting with you every lesson. Greatest thing about Musiah in my opinion.

Results: Two Months vs. One Year

My kids have learned more in the past 2 months of regular Musiah instruction then they ever learned in their first year + of piano lessons with an instructor.

Would I recommend Musiah?

Certainly, and I have. It is so user friendly, fun for the kids, takes so much pressure off parents, especially those who themselves don't play. It is inexpensive, and a very good program overall.

So grateful a friend of mine Nate Delahunty introduced us to this program and for Brendan's patience with me in getting it going.

Thanks,

Becky Hunter - Utah, United States
