I'm finally crossing into the halfway-ish mark. And as I do so, how timely was it for me to read Tim Green's review of Musiah and his journey. And WOW! He did it in 6 months. Truly a feat.
I, on the other hand, with my spare time seem to be plugging along. Don't get me wrong – it's a pace I am quite pleased with as I am already having similar thoughts to Tim when he finished… "What next once I reach the end?"
Deep Skill-Building vs. Fleeting Entertainment
Meanwhile, I plug along happily and feel an enormous sense of accomplishment with each song that I score another 5 stars on. I just finished London Bridge tonight and I told my wife, "I can feel myself getting stronger and more capable with each song". What a thrill! And on a scale that cannot be matched by the deluge of cheap and fleeting entertainment tricks that we are inundated with these days.

There is no conceivable configuration otherwise that would allow me to juggle being a father of 5 beautiful children (who also enjoy their beginner piano lessons for kids with Musiah), a volunteer Scoutmaster for our local BSA Scout Troop, and a busy corporate executive and still have enough time left in the day to engage in traditional learning methods.
Turning Long-Held Dreams into Action Plans
