Musiah Review: Interactive Piano Lessons Make Practice And Learning Easy

20 January 2015

Firstly, a very Happy New Year to all our wonderful students and supporters.

I wish each and every one you abundant success, happiness and peace — and most of all — may the music in your hearts be full of joy throughout 2015.

I’d also like to say a very sincere thank you to all those of you who have been so kindly sending in Musiah reviews and messages of support over the holiday season. Please know that your marvelous support is deeply appreciated.

Below is one of several such reviews. This one is from a gentleman by the name of Luke Baxter from Edmonds, Washington USA.

Luke started learning piano with Musiah on the 25th of August 2014 and has been steadily progressing through the levels since then.

At the time of writing, Luke is currently working on Lesson 128 – The Worried Ghost (from Level 12 of 13), so he has done amazingly well.

Here’s what he had to say of his Musiah piano lessons journey so far.

-------------------------

Before I first enrolled in piano lessons with Musiah, I was concerned that getting a MIDI keyboard and configuring it to work on the computer would be something of an obstacle. I was also unsure how Musiah would stack up with other online piano lessons.

As it turned out, the keyboard purchase was pretty reasonable and setting up the computer was actually pretty easy.

As for the lessons themselves, there is always a very clear path that I should be working on. The goal is always there. You never get lost in the process. Musiah is always ready to give me feedback and make the most of my practice time.

It makes it really easy to practice and play when life gives me time to do so.

The subscription based model makes it easy to get started with no major investment. The support behind the software is really good. And surprisingly, I’ve come to enjoy watching the Earthling vs Atonals drama unfold. It is a bit silly – but it is fun.

I definitely recommend Musiah for anyone who wants to learn how to play the piano as the interactive nature of the software makes it much easier to engage with practice and learning. It is also a pretty low-cost way to try out piano lessons.

I am not really qualified to comment on how well Musiah teaches piano. But I sure sound a lot better than I did a few months ago!

Sincere thanks Luke for sharing your experience, and congratulations once again on your excellent progress to date. I have no doubt we will soon be welcoming you to a very exclusive club – those who have attained the illustrious rank of Musiah (by completing Level 13).

What people say about Musiah

I am a mature age student coming up for the big 70 and I had always wanted to play the piano I bought my piano a couple of years ago and tried to teach my self with various free lessons on utube. What a disaster Surfing the web I came across Musiah and it changed my life. (now I don't have time to make tea for my husband) It was very had for me to start as my fingers were so stiff but now I'm finding it much easier and really enjoying the lessons and the discipline. I used to break out in a nervous sweat doing the auditions at the end of a song because I so wanted to pass them. So now I have passed the first level and am very proud of myself. Officially I am now a rookie. My partner says that my playing technique has improved with passing the first level. To all the seniors out there who think it would be too hard to learn the piano have a go, It's good fun and it has given me a great sense of achievement. Thanks to Musiah I really like this programme as it allows me to learn at my own pace.
